Brad spent 7 years as a retained fire fighter in Leeds, West Yorkshire where he also gained his Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Fire Engineering.

Following this sound footing in practical and theoretical fire knowledge he worked for some of the largest names in the industry including:

Arup Fire

FM Global, and

Axa.

This combination of roles led to an understanding and formal training in both fire life safety for building design and risk assessment, as well as the property loss prevention training at the world renowned FM Global training centre in Massachusetts.

This mixture of both sides of the fire safety industry, protecting people, and property led Brad to realise there is a gap in the market for companies requiring a holistic fire safety service which encompasses both sides of the equation.

Fire & Insurance Risk Engineering Ltd was born of the philosophy that there are gains and savings to be made by combining these normally disparate disciplines.
